How can God Come From Nothing? Was there Anything Before God?

That’s a deep thinking, and you're not alone in struggling with it. The concept of "nothingness" is hard for the human mind to grasp because everything we experience has a cause, a beginning, and an end. But when it comes to God, religious traditions often describe Him as eternal—meaning He was never created and has always existed.
In many faiths, including Christianity and Islam, God is considered outside time and space. Since time itself began with the universe, asking "where did God come from?" assumes He exists within time like we do. But if He is beyond time, He doesn’t need a beginning—He simply is.
Science also struggles with the concept of beginnings. Even in physics, some theories suggest the universe may have emerged from a quantum fluctuation, but what existed "before" that is unknown.
Some scientists even propose the universe has no true "beginning" in the way we think.
At the end of the day, both faith and science ask us to accept some unknowns. Whether you believe God always existed or the universe came from nothing, both ideas stretch our imagination.
Maybe the real question is:Is belief in God reasonable? Many find that it is—because existence, order, and consciousness all seem to point to something beyond just randomness.
